GOOOOOOLD!!

ANNA SPIELMANN IS E-MTB WORLD CHAMPION!

Austria’s first-ever world champion in E-Mountainbike Cross-Country – riding her HAIBIKE HYBE at the UCI World Championships in the stunning Aletsch Arena, Switzerland.

You truly earned it, Anna!

THE BIG MOMENT FOR ANNA

On thursday, September 04th, in the spectacular Aletsch Arena (Switzerland), Anna Spielmann achieved what no Austrian before her had done: she won gold at the UCI E-Mountainbike Cross-Country World Championships – and in commanding style.

From the very first pedal stroke, Anna put her competitors under pressure. Swiss favorites Kathrin Stirnemann and Nathalie Schneitter couldn’t keep up. With every lap, she extended her lead – crossing the finish line as the new world champion with absolute authority.

EMOTION & SIGNIFICANCE

For Anna, this victory carries double meaning:

  • After last year’s disappointment (DNF at the 2024 World Championships), she demonstrated immense mental strength.

  • At just 27 years old, she crowns her still-young E-MTB career.

  • This is Austria’s first-ever medal in this discipline – and it’s gold!

Quick summary: two strong performances

- E-MTB WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS ALETSCH -

The 2025 World Championships in Aletsch were full of drama – marked by chaotic weather, changing race schedules, and intense competition.

Our HAIBIKE racing team (Anna Spielmann & Andrea Garibbo) took part on two races:

E-Enduro and E-Mountainbike Cross-Country (XC).untry (XC).

RACE 1:

E-ENDURO – ANDREA FIGHTS LIKE A CHAMPION

Andrea Garibbo entered the E-Enduro races as one of the favorites, after finishing vice-world champion last year. Unfortunately, a flat tire on the very first stage ended his chances for the rainbow jersey early.

Yet Andrea showed his class: on the second day, he bounced back impressively, dominated the power stages with two wins, and claimed several more podium finishes. A display of sheer determination and a remarkable comeback that reminded everyone why we admire him so much.

Despite the unlucky start, we are immensely proud of you, Andrea. We would have loved to see you in the rainbow jersey this year – your fighting spirit remained unbroken.

RACE 2:

E-MTB CROSS-COUNTRY – ANNA TRIUMPHS, ANDREA STRONG

On Thursday, the focus shifted to the E-MTB XC World Championships.

Anna Spielmann showed her intelligence and determination after returning from injury: she led the race from start to finish, mastered brutal weather and trail conditions, and secured victory – Austria’s first-ever gold medal in this discipline!

Andrea Garibbo also had a strong performance. He knew it would be tough to stay with the leaders, but quickly found his rhythm. After the first lap, he was in seventh place, then moved up two positions to finish an impressive fifth, just seconds shy of fourth.
