About ME
I am an adventurer (ski, snowboard, SUP, MTB, EMTB) and try to realize dreams. The focus is on combining different sports, multisport projects, i.e. the combination of mountains, sea, cultures and unique landscapes and challenges. I have a degree in mechanical engineering from the Technical University of Munich and spent over 2 years surfing in Hawaii during my studies. I have published my many mountain adventures in lectures and reports in specialist magazines. This gave me the opportunity to be editor-in-chief of Snow magazine for three years. I also founded the magazines Powderdays and Singletrails for the largest newspaper publisher in Munich.
My experience and the goal of focusing on people and not just performance led me to organize the Intern. Bavarian Outdoor Film Festival (B/O/F/F, www.boff-film.com) in 2018. The focus here is on sustainability, environmental protection and people and their history. We show our program at 60 stops in 3 countries. We also organize the B/O/F/F Experience, where we go riding together with a growing community on skis and with the EMTB/MTB. Bike mountaineering and the combination of EMTB and skiing & climbing is a combination that I practice in the local mountains (Karwendel).

Andreas´ Story:
How I got into biking ...
The idea of climbing the mountains and having fun on the descent instead of just walking downhill got me into mountain biking early on. The fascination of traveling to other countries, cultures and mountains on my MTB still inspires me today, and this is the source of new ideas and film projects, some of which are shown at lectures or film festivals such as the B/O/F/F International.
The best bike Region is ...
I love our region in the foothills of the Alps, this is where I feel at home, this is where I learned to snowboard, ski, climb and mountain bike. I also love the Vinschgau Valley with its diverse possibilities and exotic regions. Last year I spent a long time in Morocco for a film project. The combination of country and people and the different MTB possibilities really fascinated me. If you would like to go on a MTB trip to Morocco, please get in touch with me. Tribergreisen offers tours in Morocco or ask Andreas Tonelli (Morocco expert). Traveling the mountain landscape of the Lofoten Islands by MTB has long been a goal of mine. This resulted in the film Polarbiking Lofoten 2022. The combination of mountains and sea and riding them by MTB is one of my highlights in my MTB & EMTB adventure career.
My coolest bike experience was ...
There are so many cool bike experiences that it's hard to pick just one. The self-sufficient ride on the Artic Circle Trail in Greenland was certainly a highlight, seeing musk oxen next to our tent and crossing the inland ice with canoes on the tour were special experiences. Iceland by mountain bike, the Landmannalaugar landscape is impressive and it is a gift to be able to ride a bike here. The bike descents through the high culture of the Mayas in Guatemala; the descent from Mt Enta through the different vegetation zones of the volcano. The view from Jebel Toubkal by bike, but I think the two best bike experiences are the encounter with a tribe in the far north of Burma with locals from a small village who have never seen white people before, let alone mountain bikes, and the joy that the children in Morocco had when they sat on a bike for the first time and to see and feel the laughter, the eyes and the enthusiasm when my children sit on the bike and we race down the mountain together. That fills me with happiness, it's simply priceless.
When I'm not biking ...
Then I dream of new destinations on my bike, or I combine climbing, skiing and SUP sports with my bike. In winter, as a passionate freerider, I can be found powdering and skiing on high mountains, always on the lookout for the perfect turn and the adventure, the challenge of being in the here and now. Otherwise, I prepare my presentations or produce films. I recharge my batteries with sports in nature, surfing by the sea and with my family, my kids in the mountains or by the sea.
